NOTE: In order to be licensed and hired to work as a ARMED security guard in the state of Washington, you must be at least 21 years old, a US Citizen or Legal Resident, and be able to pass a criminal background check and random drug screenings. You must be physically and mentally capable of performing the duties of a security guard and employed by a state licensed security guard company. Must have experience working in security, military and/or law enforcement to be considered for an armed position.

I.      OBJECTIVE

To provide world class service to each and every client we serve. Northwest Overwatch armed officers take pride in meeting the highest standards in the industry. Security officers provide a deterrent presence, monitor/patrol sites to increase safety and security, respond to incidents, and complete regular reports. Armed officers are responsible for protecting higher risk properties and persons.

II.      PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • A security officer will be on-time, in the correct uniform, and perform their duties thoroughly, each and every shift.
  • Officers use smartphones, tablets/laptops, radios, MS Teams, Outlook, mobile apps and similar tools to report their activities and incidents that occur on sites.
  • Officers will check in regularly as instructed, conduct patrols and site checks, and follow post orders and supervisor instructions at all times.
  • Officers must be experienced and comfortable dealing with a variety of situations, dealing with transients and other potentially dangerous people, de-escalation, and if no other options are possible, authorized use of force.

III.      DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • MUST be 21 years or older to apply.
  • MUST already be licensed and endorsed as an Armed Security Officer for the state of WA. Licensing from another state may be considered at our discretion.
  • Must have prior experience as an Armed Security Officer with no negative reviews from previous employers.
  • Additional prior Military and/or Law Enforcement service is preferred.
